More stories from my school.

So here is a conversation I had with a girl in my World History, after pulling out my Japanese book to study.

Girl: "What is that!?!"
Me: "It's a book to learn Japanese".
Girl: "Why are you learning Japanese".
Now I am used to most people asking me why, but this is what caught me off guard.
Me: "Well, I want to attend college there".
Girl: "..........................You want to go to college in China"?
Me: "..........."
Girl: "........."
Me: "Japan........."
Girl: "Oh, that's right".

Coincidentally this was In World History, and ironically, we skipped of all of Asia's history. Yeah............

Then I also had a history professor say that I was going to China also, but she forgot that I was learning Japanese.

My school.

Wow. I have lost all faith in the future of the kids from Southgate. They're so dumb. This is how it goes in World History; of course, a required class has idiots in it.

This is how it goes:

Mr. Weimer is talking about Napoleon; and of course, all history relates back to America. Anyway, he talks about the Louisiana Purchase. He says that we payed 15 million dollars for it. One kid just blabs out, "THAT'S A LOT FOR ONE STATE". I was stunned. I had no idea to react. neither did the teacher.

Then I'm helping a kid with a map of Europe, why, I don't know. I tell him to color Sweden (Why are we still coloring in high school?). This being too difficult for him, he colors in not only Sweden, but Norway. First of all, I had to tell him where the hell Sweden was; then he proceeded to argue with me over where it actually was. After all this, he states that Norway is where England is located...............Yeah................I hate this class.

Why I want to go to college.............in Japan.

When I often converse with people; not a rare occassion, the subject of college comes up. I am then attacked with various questions; yet, I love every minute of it. It is sort of a preparation for the "jail" like questioning I will have to go through to get a decent scholarship.

The story begins about last summer when I was reading a graphic novel; Love Hina to be specific. The novel is about a ronin (A graduate of high school who fails their college entrance exams), who is attempting to get into Japan's most prestigious school; the University of Tokyo. As I found my self intwined with the story line, I began to like the idea of the school. Then one night, in my sleep I guess I told myself I wanted to go there. And here I am. I'm taking Japanese courses, and I am looking forward to going there.
